The Outstanding Teaching Award (OTA) honors individual faculty members in the Master of Engineering and Graduate Certificate in Engineering programs who demonstrate exceptional dedication to instruction. Each academic year, Maryland Applied Graduate Engineering (MAGE) selects one instructor for this award, evaluated on student course evaluations, enrollment numbers, and overall feedback.
This year, MAGE is proud to recognize two recipients: W. Lewis Collier and Thomas Dineen. In a first for the program, the award was presented to two faculty members following a tie in evaluations and course enrollments. Both honorees were presented with a commemorative plaque by Dr. George Syrmos along with a monetary gift in appreciation of their contributions to the program.
