After 4 years of my technology-related education, I worked with Deloitte's Cyber practice for a year and a half during which I was quite inclined towards cybersecurity and decided to pursue a Master's in the field. That's when my research began on which university to choose, which eventually led to my decision on The University of Maryland. I thoroughly see a difference in my technical knowledge before starting the program and now and I'm constantly working towards both improving my technical skills and growing as a person.

Why Maryland?

When I started searching for schools that offer a Master's in Cybersecurity, I was majorly looking for a program curriculum that aligned with the current Industry requirements. And, it's outrightly the University of Maryland, College Park. Frankly speaking, I started off my Master's with very basic security knowledge and now I can proudly tell you that I'm being able to do my security certifications, participate actively in the Cybersecurity competitions and clear the tech rounds in the company interviews. I wouldn't say all this happened without the school's contribution. I always believe that a healthy environment does matter a lot and UMD has got the best environment with a lot of clubs and organizations on campus which can be used to the fullest to grow yourself. In the end, I'm extremely happy and satisfied with my selection.
