In my years of studies, I found that Chemical Engineering has so much to offer. Being a field that touches almost every aspect of life, it has kept me enthused.

Grad Engineering Intern, Amgen
M.Eng in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering
Currently, I am a Grad Engineering Intern at Amgen, working with the Environmental Sustainability team. I'm a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at University of Maryland (UMD). Also, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and minors in Chemistry and Energy & Sustainability at the University of Houston, Texas.
I am very passionate about environmental sustainability. Being sustainable makes sense. It can improve health, increase safety, and save money. Replacing the use of toxic materials with more sustainable options is safer and reduces hazardous waste. In my years of studies, I found that Chemical Engineering has so much to offer. Being a field that touches almost every aspect of life, it has kept me enthused.
Why Maryland?
When I decided to pursue a graduate degree after undergrad, I found that the University of Maryland has a highly ranked graduate program in education and the noted A. James Clark School of Engineering. So far, it is going well and the professors here are very helpful.
