Requirements specific to the materials science and engineering engineering program include:
- A bachelor's degree, GPA of 3.0 or better, in engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, physical science, or a closely related discipline or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of all of the following courses (or their equivalent):
- Math: Calculus, I, II, and III
- Engineering: Thermodynamics, Solid State Physics, and Kinetics
