Michael has been an active member in the cybersecurity community for over 8 years, He is a cyber software engineer and manager for the Department of Defense, focusing on building tools for vulnerability research and operating system security. Prior to joining the Department of Defense, he worked as a cyber software engineer at RunSafe Security and at Nestle. Michael is also an active member of the cybersecurity Capture the Flag community as he helps create challenges for competitions and competes in others. 

Michael received two degrees from the University of Maryland: an undergraduate in Computer Science and a Masters of Engineering in Cybersecurity from MAGE. He was also an active member on campus as he participated in the Cybersecurity club and was the president of Terrapin Hackers.
