Krishnan Iyer

Krishnan has been in the Cyber Security industry for more than three years and has graduated with a Masters degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering.
He is currently working as an Information Technology Auditor at Nasdaq,Inc. in the realm of Cyber Security, IT Audits and beyond!
Krishnan joined Nasdaq, Inc.(NYC Headquarters) as an IT auditor summer intern and continued his role as a student worker in the IT Internal audit business group. His responsibilities in the Global Technology function are to evaluate and test Information Technology general controls - ITGC for continuous audit engagements with a focus on Cloud Computing, Access Management, Digital Assets and Threat Intelligence. He immensely contributes to the automation requirements within the team by creating automated workflows and robotic processes to handle multiple test procedures and streamline manual operational tasks.
Prior to Nasdaq, Krishnan worked at Ernst and Young LLP (India) as an Associate Consultant in the Business Consulting Risk division where he supported his clients with internal and external ISO 27001 audits, vendor risk assessments, implementing security tools to maintain and improve the security infrastructure and evaluate client controls basis practices best suited for their security posture. Krishnan started his career at Larsen and Toubro Infotech (now: LTIMindtree) as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and worked his way up to Associate Information Security during his 2 years at LTI working on a variety of Technology driven tools, Vulnerability and Configuration assessments, Web application Firewall, Network Security, CIS baselining and IT Governance and Compliance with deep skills to handle and maintain the Compliance and Growth budgets for the Information security department.
Krishnan established a foothold in the vast field of Information Security during his bachelor’s in computer science along with a few internships and apprenticeship. He also holds numerous cyber security, cloud, data analytics and robotic automation certifications to support his existing skillset in this ever-growing industry.
