Why Maryland?
I chose Maryland for my graduate degree because of its reputation in cybersecurity and the tons of opportunities it offers to learn and grow. The MAGE department, Startup Shell, and various clubs here have been great for gaining hands-on experience, meeting cool people, and building up my technical skills. The environment is very supportive, and I’ve learned a lot, both personally and professionally. I’m grateful for all the exposure I've gotten.
One of the biggest reasons I love the program is the amazing faculty. They're not just teaching from textbooks; they’re actually working in the field and solving real-world cybersecurity problems. Their lessons come from real experience, not just theory, which has completely changed how I look at cybersecurity and its challenges.
