UMD offered a much more in-depth technical master's degree program that I couldn't find at any other college in MD that was online.

Why Maryland?

I am born and raised in MD so I wanted to stick to a local school in case I wanted to attend in-person.  But, I wanted the flexibility of getting a Masters degree online.  So when I looked at colleges in Maryland I found that UMD had exactly what I was looking for.  UMD offered a much more in-depth technical master's degree program that I couldn't find at any other college in MD that was online.  Plus I have always heard great things about UMD and I wanted to be a Terrapin
