Sai Saketh Bolla
M.Eng. in Software
Hello! I'm Sai Saketh Bolla, an MEng Software Engineering student at the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating in December 2026.
While my path didn't start with a traditional Computer Science degree, I see this MEng program as my dedicated journey into the field, building a strong foundation in software engineering, system requirements, and cloud computing. My passion lies in the cloud and telecom domains, where I've gained hands-on experience that I'm eager to build upon.
A significant part of my professional background includes my time working with Verizon. I contributed to strategic insights by automating reports for their production environments and was involved in resolving critical incidents to maintain system uptime. I also worked on developing machine learning models for incident prediction and automating test cases for their self-service portals.
I'm excited to continue exploring how big data, Cloud & SRE can optimize systems in my future endeavors.
Why Maryland?
My decision was heavily influenced by practical factors like budget, the impressive course offerings, and the convenient location. However, a delightful discovery truly solidified my choice: I learned that the former CEO of Prodapt, the very company where I started my career as an Software Engineer, is also an esteemed alumnus of this institution for the course Computer Software Engineering. This realization further reinforced my belief that I've made the right decision, aligning my academic journey with a legacy of leadership from a place that shaped my professional beginnings.
