Who is eligible for an application fee waiver?
Applicants to a Master of Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering program can request one application fee waiver per year if they meet one of the requirements listed below.
Eligible Applicants Include:
- A. James Clark School of Engineering upcoming graduates and alumni
- Confirmed attendee of a recent in-person or virtual Graduate Information Session hosted by MAGE’s Admissions Team
- Visitor of the MAGE booth on the road at an engineering-related conference and talked to a MAGE representative about the fee waiver opportunity
How to Request a Fee Waiver
- Meet one of the requirements listed above. If you do not meet one of those requirements, you must do so prior to moving on to step 2
- Submit an application fee waiver request form at least 3 business days prior to the application deadline
- MAGE will respond within 3 business days and provide a unique code to use prior to submitting your application
- Submit your application prior to the application deadline
- After you apply, monitor your application status and submit any missing documents
Considerations:
- You must be eligible for a fee waiver prior to submitting the application fee waiver request form. If you have not yet met the requirement, do not submit a request. (i.e. if you have registered for an event but have not yet attended, do not submit your request until after you have attended your event).
- Only requests for a fee waiver to apply to a MAGE Master of Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering program will be considered. Requests for programs offered by other units, such as Master of Science or PhD programs, will be denied.
- Eligible applicants can receive only 1 application fee waiver code per calendar year. If an individual wishes to apply to more than one program or semester, they will be required to pay the application fee for the additional applications.
